Scribbled for :iconmlp-atg-alumni:'s week 147 theme: A Cultural Pony / A Cultured Pony

A simpler, cartoonier style this time. It was the only way I'd be able to finish this in a reasonable timeframe. Also, the plain approach complements the tone I was going for in that last panel. Speaking of which, look closely at that panel and name the quote!

From the look of it, this mitosis has gone wrong. As the "split" (the telophase) is already happening at frame 3, before the replication of the cell components has fully completed, I would assume that both eyes in the left cell have then been created from the original left eye, and likewise for both eyes in the right sell and the original right. Yet the final cells seem to have both a right eye and a left eye.

...Yes, I know it is a joke, and I get it, I'm just a geek like that.

Biologists suspect that the eye-like structures in Partymecium pinkii actually developed from an endosymb-eye-otic event!

Also, the concept "endoplasmic cutie mark" fills me with an unnatural amount of glee.

Glee is the term of art for the cytoplasmic substance contained within P. partii's cell membranes.
